Advanced First Aid Course

This course is designed to equip people with knowledge and skill to provide assistance/treatment or care for a casualty who is experiencing or suffering from injury or suddenly ill including respiratory and cardiac arrest, handling and movement the casualty, calling for medical help procedure, and evacuation.

Aim and Objective
After attending this course, the participant will be able to:
- List the risk and cause of respiratory and cardiac arrest
- Demonstrate how to do the quick examination for a casualty who suffers from injury and suddenly ill.
- Demonstrate the technique of ABC Resuscitation
- Demonstrate the “Heimlich Maenuver’ method for a casualty with airway obstructed caused by foreign object.
- Demonstrate the practice of bandaging and splinting
- Demonstrate the recovery position
- Demonstrate the suitable position for shock victim
- Demonstrate safety lifting for a back injury victim
- Demonstrate how to fill in a simple first aid report form
